Who we are

MERATH is a Christian NGO in Lebanon who comes alongside 50 local churches and faith-based organizations and help them implement relief and development projects for vulnerable individuals and families in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq.

Through relationship, the local Church unconditionally demonstrates God’s love within their communities, and the most vulnerable around them are holistically cared for and dignified.

How we work

We work alongside local faith communities, empowering them to be on the frontline
while supporting them with most of the administrative and technical work,
so they don't become overwhelmed and can stay true to their core identity.

We invest in them to help them respond to the needs of the most vulnerable around them with high standards, while continuously listening to their feedback
and adapt our work accordingly, as well as offering them psychosocial support to maintain their wellbeing.

What we do

Through local partners, MERATH implements relief and development projects for thousands of displaced and vulnerable families in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq in the fields of basic needs, education and child protection and livelihoods.

Our goal is of course to respond to the basic and urgent needs of the most vulnerable, but also to provide education and protection to out-of-school children and more generally to help families walk toward a sustainable and more hopeful future.
