75% of Syrian refugees in Lebanon were unable to meet basic needs of food, health, shelter and education in 2017
In Lebanon, where at least 1.5 million Syrians have sought refuge – increasing the country’s population by a quarter – the pressure to leave is intense.
However, most of them have nothing to go back to and there is still little to no reason to believe that conditions in Syria are adequate for a mass return of refugees.
