The coronavirus is now officially spreading in Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria, as well as in other countries in the Middle East. This comes on top of a harsh winter and unprecedented economic and financial crisis that have already severely impacted the most vulnerable. As a result, many families, as well as our local partners who are serving in their midst, are at a higher risk of contracting the coronavirus and developing complications.
Like Talia, one of our inspiring partners, we believe that “the Lord is teaching us a new way to serve. A way that breaks routine. This is a time we need to all be lifting our eyes upon the Lord and seeking His face. Prayer is what can change everything to turn out for the better.”
As we are equipping our partners so they can continue to serve the poor and vulnerable around them in the safest possible way, please pray with us:
For God’s wisdom for the authorities as they take measures to try to slow down the spread of the virus
For God’s strength for the health workers who are very much exposed to the virus and working under extremely stressful circumstances.
For God’s comfort and healing for the sick and their families.
For God’s protection for the poor and vulnerable who are at high risk of exposure to the virus and related complications and cannot afford any kind of treatment.
For healthy family relationships under lockdown, especially for those living in harsh, crowded, and stressful conditions.
For both wisdom and protection for our team and local partners as we seek to continue to serve in the safest possible way.
For financial resources for us to be able to distribute hygiene kits to the most vulnerable people who our local partners serve.
